So Assassin's Creed Revelations is supposed to be out on Nov. 15. It will mark the final chapter in the Ezio/Altair storyline.
So I thought before its out I would post my own theory or speculate on what I think the story will bring. Also some questions that really need to be answered in this final chapter. Many of these theories are certainly 'out there' and most are complete trash in terms of speculation, but I figured it might be good to get a discussion going and see what other people thought. See whether they agreed or not. So lets start off with theory one.

1. THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT ALTAIR

Before I get crucified for saying this let me just clarify that I have nothing against Altair. In fact I respect him for being the most efficient Assassin of his time (we never see him as a beginner which makes him look more refined than Ezio in terms of ability)

However I fear there must have been something that corrupted his mind. After he came in possession of the P.O.E his journal entries suggested that it was slowly taking over him and that Malik had warned him not to over indulge in its powers. Which to me suggests that it took over him in mind body and soul. Corrupting him in the process.
Fast forward to the present time were Desmond asks Lucy why they didn't just relive Altair's memories instead of Ezio's. She mentions something about him being obsessed with Italy. (But she may have been talking about Subject 16 or Vidic at the time it's difficult to tell)
So Altair may not be the pure rational minded leader we all thought he was.. We'll see.

(I hope I'm wrong because I don't want to believe he became corrupted as Al-Mualim did)


2. THE END TO THE WAR

Okay so this is really more of a question. The plot outline always reads that Ezio may find something this time that could put an end to the war against the Templars for good.
The only problem here is that Ezio's adventures in Constantinople and Masyaf happened hundreds of years ago. After that I'm sure that the Templars were not finished (Abstergo is proof of this). So what went wrong ? Did he not succeed ? Did they form again years later ? How does the past affect the modern day Templars. Let me know what your theories are.

3. THE AUDITORE BLOODLINE

Exactly who is Desmond related to ? The easy answer here is Ezio & Altair. But for Subject 16 and Desmond to exist and be descendants of Altair, someone from the Auditore family needs to have had a child. There can be many who would have given birth to Ezio's kid. (Being the intimate beast Ezio is ) Is it possible that during the events of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood a certain Miss. Sforza was carrying Ezio's child ? It could be the case. However don't narrow it down to just her, or Ezio for that fact. The animus required you to be descended from someone. That could also be anyone else from the Auditore family. Maybe Claudia settled down with someone.... or anyone from Uncle Mario's side may have something to do with it. That would be a theory but then wouldn't Desmond's memory be more heavily based on the before mentioned candidates. How can he know of something that happened to Ezio if his primary ancestor weren't around to witness it. Something to think about......

P.S A new Assassin's Creed has been announced for a 2012 release date. The whole concept is based on the 2012 End of the world concept that's tied in with the AC Abstergo satellite launch storyline. A new Assassin would be stepping into the scene this time. I'm praying for a Japanese setting this time. Lots of Katana's, lots of blood !
